Welcome to the SBNS Spring Meeting

Following the success of SBNS Unlocked, our 1st virtual meeting, the Society is now pleased to invite you to attend our 2nd virtual meeting on 15-16 April.

The postponed Spring Dundee Meeting will now take place on 22-24 September 2021, hopefully face to face, in the beautiful city of Dundee as originally planned.

Our Spring Virtual meeting will run over two full days and will include breakfast seminars and informal evening poster sessions.   The main academic programme has been divided up into topical neurosurgical themes, headed up by keynote speakers, international and home grown, followed by oral presentations from abstracts submitted for the postponed Dundee meeting.  There will also be a research section, with the long awaited DEX Trial results, presented by Prof. Hutchinson as well as an update on all the new trials taking place.

An Ethico-legal Debate is also planned which will cover, litigation, indemnity and consent,  topics that affect all neurosurgeons in one form or another.  There will of course be an opportunity to interact live during this, and all the other sessions, via chatrooms. In fact, we will be disappointed if you do not engage!

The informal evening Poster Sessions will be televised in a “Zoom” format and we hope delegates will interact with the presenters, even if you are having a bad hair day.

The Preliminary Academic Programme  is available for downloading - please click on the Programme tab.  The final Programme will be uploaded prior to the meeting - please check this page on a regular basis for updates.

To register for the meeting click on the registration tab There is a charge, but this covers live access to the whole meeting as well as access to the recordings, post meeting.    CPD points will be awarded for attendance.

This meeting is open to ALL in the medical profession with an interest in neurosurgery, at any level,  so please promote this event to your friends and colleagues at home and abroad.

If you are interested in supporting and sponsoring this meeting please click on the Sponsorship tab to download a prospectus.

We look forward to welcoming you to the SBNS Spring Meeting in April.
