Pre-Meeting, Tuesday 18 September 2018

The management of patients with Ehlers Danlos / hypermobility: Diagnosis, assessment, and the role of spinal surgery.

Hypermobility disorders encompass a range of conditions and symptoms, and are common in patients with Chiari malformations.  Recently there has been much controversy about new treatment options, including the role of craniocervical fixation.  Patients have been travelling abroad to be treated, as they feel that the UK medical and surgical community do not understand the condition.  This afternoon seminar brings together internationally renowned experts in the diagnosis, assessment, investigation, and treatment of these patients.  Proponents and conventional views will be discussed and debated, ending with a panel discussion.  Please join us for what is likely to be a very educational and lively afternoon.
