NOTES
All applications for membership/change of status have to be approved by the SBNS Council and are then ratified at the following Business Meeting by the membership.
To comply with the SBNS Constitution full members must have presented a paper at a Society Scientific Meeting.
All new applications must include a current CV, and the signatures of two supporting full members of the Society. (Associate members applying for Full membership do not have to resubmit a C.V. or referees)
Affiliated Members should submit a brief résumé demonstrating their links to Neurosurgery and signatures of support from two full members.
To remain in good standing with the Society, Full and Associate members are required to log CPD activity through the E-Logbook via the Society’s website.
Membership shall be automatically forfeited if no subscription has been paid for two years after appropriate reminders.
ENTITLEMENTS:
All members are invited to attend and contribute to the Society’s biannual Scientific Meetings at a reduced registration rate dependant on their membership status and gain free entry to the Life Long Learning session held at these meetings.
All members will receive a user name and membership number will allow access to the SBNS website in accordance with their membership status.
All members receive copies of the Society’s biannual newsletter
Full, Associate and International members receive copies of the British Journal of Neurosurgery as part of their subscription fee.
Affiliated and Senior members have an option to receive the Journal by paying an additional £45.00
Full Members have voting rights and can be an elected members of the SBNS Council and subcommittees.
Full Members are invited to attend the biannual Business Meetings and to have access to the minutes of Business, Council and Sub-Committee Meetings and the reports and publications produced by the Society via the Website.
