Our colleagues at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford are delighted to be hosting the SBNS Spring meeting in March 2017 and have chosen the historic Examination Schools for the conference venue; very apt for this famous and historic University Town. The building was designed by Sir Thomas Jackson and was completed in 1882. The main purpose of the Schools is for the organisation and administration of university examinations, but fortunately for us, outside term time it is also let out for meetings and conferences. It is located in the heart of Oxford and is easily accessible from all over the UK with plenty of excellent hotels on its doorstep.
Attending SBNS meetings is an excellent opportunity to fulfil external CPD for appraisal and revalidation as well as for networking and meeting up with friends and colleagues during the social events.
The Welcome Reception, on Wednesday evening, will be held at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History amongst the many fascinating exhibits on show there and the more formal gala dinner will be in the atmospheric dining hall of the famous Balliol College.
The Oxford Team have also organised two training courses prior to the start of the main meeting. On Monday and Tuesday, 27-28 March, Puneet Plaha will be running a White Fibre Dissection Course for trainees and on Tuesday 28 March there will be an interactive training session for the Neurology and Neurosurgery Student Interest Group (NANSIG). More details to follow on both these events.
On Tuesday afternoon the British Radiosurgery Society will be joining the meeting and hosting a half day meeting from 12:30 - 17:30. Please click on the Sub-Specialty tab on the right hand menu for more details.

The SBNS is moving into the 21st Century and going green at the same time as there will not be a printed programme. However, you can download a paper copy of a programme at a glance and full programme by clicking on the Academic Programme tab to your right.
As usual there will be an extensive trade exhibition running throughout the meeting. If you wish to exhibit at the meeting please contact Alix Gordon firstname.lastname@example.org or click on the Sponsorship tab to download a prospectus.
